Benidorm is one of the
main tourist destinations in Spain, some call it
the New York of the Mediterranean, a nickname that came around due to
the large number of skyscrapers the city has.
It is a city adored by tourists who want to enjoy the Spanish beaches but enjoy the weather and an immense range of activities at the same time.
T
he beaches of Benidorm are without a doubt a mandatory stop, no matter what time of year it is, you can always enjoy a walk and stop for a snack along the seafront. Among the most famous beaches in this city are
Levante Beach and Poniente Beach.
Within the
city, specifically in the
Plaça del Castell, is the
Mediterranean Balcony. This area plays a big role in
Benidorm’s history because this is where
the old castle of Benidorm was located,
which was destroyed during the Napoleonic wars.
The view from this balcony is something you must see. The floor will remind you of a chessboard, and
from there you can see the Mediterranean sea perfectly. A unique and picturesque view.
La Cruz de Benidorm is located more on the outskirts of Benidorm and
at the top of the mountain. Anyone who loves a good landscape view will have everything they need to get the best photo of the city here. To access this area there are two options, one is by car and the other is
a 45 minute walk.
Those are only a few of the most visited places in this wonderful city. A city that offers activities for everyone, and a
cuisine that cannot be left out, like the
arroz de banda, or even the surrounding towns like Altea, which are immensely beautiful.
