Benidorm is a popular resort on the east coast of Spain. It is hard to believe that the city, which today is called "Spanish Las Vegas" and "European Miami", was once a small fishing village. Now only a few streets remind you of the original appearance, and the biggest part of the city is coved by impressive skyscrapers, hotels, shopping centers, beaches and amusement parks.
How to spend time in Benidorm?
Benidorm is divided into old and new parts. The historical part of the city is represented by traditional Spanish narrow streets with houses built in the 17-19th centuries. Benidorm is also famous for its beaches. We can say that the city stands on two large sandy beaches - Levante (Playa de Levante) and Poniente (Playa de Poniente). If you prefer a quiet and secluded vacation, Benidorm has a cozy 120-meter-long Mal Pas Beach between Levante and Poniente.
Famous Terra Mitica amusement park awaits tourists a 10-minute drive from Benidorm, where you can have fun all day while riding a roller coaster and other attractions.
