For the fourth year in a row,
Valencia plays host to the
Vegan Tapa Route. The event takes place on the
7th, 8th and 9th of February 2020. It is organised by the
Feria Vegana Valencia association.
The goal of this annual event is to make
vegan venues visible and show that there are
100% vegan options available to people. A perfect opportunity for the catering businesses to take advantage and promote themselves.
Any venue that has tapas or small portions without ingredients of animal origin can register for the event, which attracts both vegan and non-vegan audiences.
Meeting points will be set up with predesigned routes in case someone prefers to join the group for a bite later on. Of course it is also possible to join but follow the route at your own pace. In that case we recommend you to consult the participating venues on the page of
http://feriaveganavalencia.org/ruta-de-la-tapa-vegana/ and
plan your own tour. You can check out which venues participate and in which areas of the city they are located. Many of them also offer
gluten-free options!
The
Feria Vegana Valencia organisation is a non-profit association made up of volunteers who organise two events in
Valencia per year: The
Feria Vegana (Vegan Fair) and this
Ruta de la Tapa Vegana (Vegan Tapa Route). The purpose of the association is to promote
veganism. They want to inform the public about this lifestyle. They promote a
sustainable diet and an
ethical consumption based on respect for animals.
The
Vegan Tapa Route serves to spread
veganism through food. During the weekend, the Route offers the possibility of getting to know new places, as well as discovering new products in a simple and fun way.
Every year they have a press release and flyers available to those who are interested and want to spread the news. You can also use the official hashtag
#4RutaTapaVeganaVLC on social media and share the event with your friends.
If you would like to participate you can help out as a volunteer depending on your available time, skillset and your knowledge. If you can’t contribute your time, you can make a specific donation instead.
For now you can simply start by attending this year's edition and learn more about the great variety and options that exist within this lifestyle by trying new food.
